6.78MHz와 2MHz 두 가지 주파수 결합…열 에너지 보다 깊은 곳까지 전달
XERF 로고서 출발한 도형적 모티브, 단순 정보 제공 넘어 미학적 경험 제공
[의학신문·일간보사=오인규 기자] 글로벌 에스테틱 의료기기 기업 루트로닉은 14일부터 4일 간 서울 삼성동 코엑스에서 열리는 ‘제39회 국제의료기기·병원설비전시(KIMES 2024)’서 신제품 ‘LUTRONIC XERF(루트로닉 세르프, 이하 XERF)’를 최초 공개한다.
XERF는 6.78MHz와 2MHz의 두 가지 주파수가 결합된 모노폴라 RF다. 2MHz 파장은 6.78MHz 파장에 비해 피부에 더욱 깊게 작용된다는 점에서, 열에너지를 보다 깊은 곳까지 전달할 수 있다. XERF는 지난 1월 식약처 허가를 획득했으며 올해 상반기 중 정식 출시될 예정이다.
또한 루트로닉은 XERF와 함께 쓰이는 일회용 팁 ‘XERF EFFECTOR(세르프 이펙터)’도 함께 전시한다. 원하는 부위에 맞춰 적용할 수 있도록 구분된 4종의 XERF EFFECTOR에는 시술 부위 전체에 균일한 에너지를 전달할 수 있도록 특허를 출원한 스파이더 패턴이 적용 됐다.
안전한 시술을 위해 고주파 조사 시 마다 실시간으로 이펙터의 표면 온도를 모니터링 할 수 있는 시스템도 탑재됐다.
XERF를 최초 공개하는 이번 전시 부스는 XERF가 추구하는 고차원적 맞춤형 고객 경험을 실감할 수 있도록 마련됐다. XERF 로고에서 출발한 도형적 모티브는 단순한 정보 제공을 넘어 공간에서 느껴지는 미학적 경험 요소를 제공한다.
참관객들은 브랜드 컬러와 디자인 형태 등 브랜드를 대표하는 요소가 가득찬 공간에서 프라이빗한 전시관에 온 것 같은 경험을 할 수 있다.
회사 관계자는 “XERF는 eXperience Exponential RF의 약자로 구성된 이름으로, 완전히 다른 틀로 접근하는 경험적 RF라는 뜻을 가졌다”며 “빠르고 효과적인 시술은 물론, 프리미엄한 경험을 원하는 소비자들에게 그동안 접하지 못했던 경험을 제공할 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.
이어 “XERF는 병원에서 만나는 제품이지만 이 경험을 병원 밖에서도 이어나갈 수 있도록 다각도 채널을 통해 대중과 소통을 진행하는 등 접점을 확대할 계획”이라며 “KIMES 2024는 XERF가 펼쳐갈 루트로닉의 미래를 보여주는 첫 걸음”이라고 덧붙였다.
한편 1997년 설립된 미용 의료기기 기업 루트로닉은 레이저 의료기기를 기반으로 RF(Radio Frequency), LED(Light Emitting Diode) 등 다양한 에너지원을 활용한 제품을 생산 중이다. 전 세계 80여 개국에 제품을 수출하고 있다.

Lutronic, a global aesthetics medical device manufacturer will take part in the 39th Korea International Medical and Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES 2024) held at COEX in Seoul for 4 days from March 14th to introduce its new product, ‘LUTRONIC XERF’ for the first time.
XERF is a monopolar RF that combines two frequencies of 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz. Since the wavelength of 2 MHz acts penetrates on the skin than the wavelength of 6.78 MHz, it can deliver deeper thermal energy. XERF was approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in January and is expected to be officially released in the first half of this year.
In addition, Lutronic will also display a disposable tip called ‘XERF EFFECTOR’ that is used with ‘XERF.’ The four types of XERF EFFECTOR, which are divided so that they can be applied to each of the desired area, have been equipped with a patent-applied spider pattern to deliver uniform energy to the entire treat-ment area.
A system that can monitor the surface temperature of the effector in real-time regardless of the high frequency irradiation is performed has been installed to ensure safe use.
This exhibition booth, which will showcase XERF for the first time, is designed to help visitors realize the high-level customized customer experience that XERF seeks. The graphic motif starting from the XERF logo goes beyond providing simple information and offers aesthetic experience elements that can be felt within the space.
Visitors can feel as if they are in a private exhibition hall in a space filled with elements representing the brand, such as brand color and design form.
“XERF is an abbreviation of ‘eXperience Exponential RF,’ which means an empirical RF approaching a completely different framework,” a company official said while adding, “we will be able to provide fast and effective procedures as well as experiences that have not been ex-perienced before for consumers who want premium experiences.”
The staff further added that “XERF is a product that meets at hospitals, but we plan to expand contact points by communicating with the public through various channels so that we can continue this experience outside the hospital,” commenting further that “KIMES 2024 is the first step in showing the future of XERF.”
