[의학신문·일간보사=오인규 기자] DRTECH(CEO Ahn Sung-Hyun) took KIMES 2021 as a stage to showcase its newest line-up of premium diagnostic solutions and announce its plans to become a total diagnostic solutions provider including series of full X-ray imaging systems to its portfolio. At KIMES 2021, DRTECH launched three new innovative products for general radiography and mammography imaging, AIDIA; premium full-field digital mammography system, QX Platform; high-performance IGZO low dose detector, and finally the EXSYS Essence; a compact but powerful X-ray system for general radiography.

DRTECH is an X-ray solutions provider of 21 years providing state-of-the-art detector imaging solutions for medical (general radiography, mammography, dental), veterinary, and industrial applications. At the end of last year, DRTECH is expanded its business to include a full line-up of digital radiographic and mammography system solutions in the domestic market. To start this transition, AIDIA (FFDM: Full-field digital mammography) and EXSYS series (radiography system) was launched at the end of 2020 and are receiving great feedback from customers for their high performance and convenient usability.

■ Premium Digital Mammography System ‘AIDIA’

AIDIA has drawn much attention at this year’s KIMES with its award-winning design, outstanding image quality, easy-to-use operational features. DRTECH first entered the breast imaging scene with its “World first digital mammography upgrade solution”, RoseM in 2015.

Early detection is especially critical for breast cancer treatment as delayed diagnosis often leads to an increased fatality rate. Most Asian women have dense breasts making early diagnosis of breast cancer difficult. As this is the case, high-quality mammograms are critical for detecting early signs of breast cancer such as micro-calcifications.

AIDIA enables early detection of premalignant and microcalcification with its high-quality images. Available in two detector options, direct type selenium detector with 65㎛ and indirect type CsI detector with 76㎛, AIDIA has the smallest pixel size amongst all currently available mammography systems.

On top of this, AIDIA delivers high-quality diagnostic images using a tungsten (W) tube that results in high-quality X-ray beam, and automatic switching dual filter function adjusting filter settings based on the patient’s breast density controls optimal dose radiation quality used only in high-end premium digital mammography systems.

AIDIA differentiated itself from competitors by providing multiple detector options based on users’ preferences. Most companies only provide one detector option for their systems such as Hologic (direct type) and GE (indirect type). AIDIA provides direct type (UD/65㎛) and indirect type(TD/76㎛) detector options using DRTECH’s high-performance digital mammography detectors.

Also, the Pain-Less 1-2-3 feature of AIDIA has drastically shortened the breast compression time to minimize the pain and discomfort experienced by patients during breast examination. As the imaging time per patient is also decreased, hospitals can screen more patients for a higher patient throughput.

■ General Radiography Detectors Powered by ‘QX-Platform’

QX-Platform detectors encapsulate DRTECH’s 21 years of know-how and technologies to provide high-quality images at minimal radiation dose for maximal diagnostic accuracy.
QX-platform consists of a high-definition FOCUS scintillator, next-generation IGZO TFT, patented reconstructive image algorithm TRUVIEW® ART, and AI imaging processing DEPAITM. QX-Platform enables 50% dose reduction and 30% increased sharpness.

General radiography detector EXPRIMER by QX-Platform enables high imaging performance under all conditions including low-powered mobile and portable X-ray systems being a great detector of choice for COVID19 screening centers for use in triaging and treating COVID19 patients.

Amidst the rising global demand for X-ray detectors, DRTECH is planning to make an impact in the global medical detector market by providing high-quality images and cutting-edge technologies by QX-Platform.

■ High Performance Radiographic System, ‘DIGIRAD-FP’

Digirad-FP with its optimized user interface provides user convenience features such as auto save image settings including positioning, direction, and exposure condition, ensures fast workflow while providing a more comfortable experience for patients.
The Auto-Sync (Synchronization) feature allows the automatic height adjustment of the X-ray tube when adjusting a bucky stand and table, ensuring a wider vertical movement range with the width of the tube reaching 160cm, and thus enabling users to adjust the tube more conveniently. Besides, an easy maneuvering tube allows easy controlling with a single hand even by female technicians

■ Innovative Digital X-ray System, ‘EXSYS Essence”
EXSYS Essence is an innovative and compact X-ray system solution allowing user convenience with features such as auto alignment, auto voice guide, and wireless detector charging system.
EXSYS Essence has a compact design for great space efficiency yet providing improved diagnostic competency being optimized for use with QX-Platform detectors. Even with a compact size, it provides high quality images at a low dose and includes all the essential features needed for a powerful X-ray imaging experience.

A representative from DRTECH commented that “As a detector solution provider for over 21 years, we just took the next step as X-ray system provider. However, with the sole aim of establishing global leadership in digital healthcare market, DRTECH will continuously develop and launch new premium digital diagnostic systems with cutting-edge technologies”.

DRTECH is currently developing a next-generation diagnostic system with state-of-the-art AI technology providing exceptional detectability compared to conventional systems. The company expects to expand its global presence in the digital healthcare market with total diagnostic solutions amongst global players.
