[의학신문·일간보사=이재원 기자] UBCare(CEO Lee Sang-kyung), a representative digital healthcare solution corporation will introduce various product line-up at the Korea International Medical and Hospital Equipment Show 2019. (KIMES 2019).

KIMES 2019 is scheduled to take place from March 14th to 17th at Samseong-dong COEX. During the show, UBCare will showcase various new product line-up in addition to its conventional major products, under the slogan of “Experience, What’s new UBCare?”

This year, in particular, UBCare plans to intensify its influence and competitiveness in the medical service industry by presenting new medical environment in line with the 4th industrial revolution era including unmanned system, patient-tailored service.

UBCare is intensifying its market dominance with its core business of“Ysarang,”a electronic medical record (EMR) solution by continuing upgrading its function and services.

It already has a competitive advantage with the largest market share in domestic hospital and clinic EMR with over 16,000 clients, and is expanding its market share in pharmacy (32%), nursing hospital (49%) and oriental hospital (53%).

Based on the market dominance of its EMR business, UBCare is also exerting efforts to secure a bridgehead to expand its digital health care business.

■ Expand unmanned reception solution…from tablet, kiosk to face recognition AI robot

With the partnership with BBROS, UBCare will launched the unmanned reception tablet for hospitals and clinics. The kiosk is an unmanned device that enables patients to not only apply for treatment services in person but also enables them to carry out payment and issue prescriptions. Such device can reduce work resources at hospitals and clinics while reducing the waiting time for patients.

UBCare schedules to upgrade the kiosk by equipping it with certificates including hospital expenses receipt, to help reduce the hospitals’burden on labor cost and shortage. It can be used as rental (operating lease), reducing the initial cost and enabling tax reduction through rental through fee deduction cost handling.

Meanwhile, UBCare also plans to showcase unmanned reception robot products. The face recognition function will help easier and faster reception for treatments. It is also equipped with a child-friendly concept and AI function so that child patients can also find the device interesting.

With the partnership with LG CNS, UBCare plans to commercialized unmanned reception robot device during the first half of this year, to expand its unmanned reception product line-up. On March 4th, UBCare signed an MOU with LG CNS to develop unmanned reception robot product.

■ Mobile treatment reservation/reception application“, DDOCDOC”…launching added services including medical expenses payment and insurance claim within this year

UBCare links its EMR system“, Ysarang”with BBROS’mobile healthcare O2O platform “DDOCDOC” application to provide services including △finding nearby hospitals and clinics/pharmacies △Real-time reservation and reception for hospitals and clinics △treatment waiting order alarm via Kakaotalk △Mobile prescription inquiry.

“DDOCDOC waiting status board”that provides treatment waiting order real-time through Kakaotalk is a service that is widely praised for enhancing work efficiency and patients’convenience. By enabling patients to check their waiting order, many say that they can be outside the waiting room for free time while reducing risks for secondary infection.

With the aim of enhancing clinician and patient convenience,UBCare plans to expand the distribution of DDOCDOC within domestic hospitals and clinics while continuing with the upgrade of its functions and services.

Firstly, it plans to introduce“preliminary interview for infants (preliminary examination”for pediatric hospitals tailored for child treatment. Guardians can fill in the child patient’s symptoms, which the clinicians can check prior to meeting with the patient. And thus, the service is expected to increase treatment accuracy and effectiveness.

Moreover, to intensify the convenience and utilizationof “DDOCDOC” application, UBCare is planning to launch the system of medical expenses payment and insurance cliam within this year. Going forward ,"DDOCDOC”application can provide one-stop services in using hospitals and clinics ranging from treatment reservation, waiting status monitoring to medical expenses payment and insurance claim.

■ Exhibition of retail medical devices... Full medical and healthcare line-up including EMR, retail, digital healthcare platform

Presenting medical devices that provide client-tailored services in connection to hospitals, clinics and pharmacies, UBCare plans to introduce its retail business portfolio.

During the exhibition, UBCare will unveil Diamond Select (DS), consisting of the Philips ultrasound imaging diagnosis device and the officially certified refurbish line of the portable ultrasound device, Lumify and Affinitiy Series 50 and 70.

Lumify is a portable ultrasound that is operated based on the Android application, which can maximize time and space efficiency in ultrasound treatment as it enables immediate diagnosis and can be used for before and after surgery as well as during doctor visits for inpatients.

In addition, it will also showcase programs that can introduce the Philips’best ultrasound imaging technology and brand value in a more economic manner through AffinityDS line.

Moreover“, Semi Autopack”is a self-automatic medicine preparation machine brand newly introduced by UBCare. It is the industry’s first-ever brand that enables no-interest finance lease to minimize the initial cost burden for pharmacies. 'Semi Autopack(SA-90P)’ and “Upharm Autopack,” an automatic medicine preparation suitable for small and medium-sized hospitals and pharmacies will also be on display.
