BWA, Body Water Analyzing Brand Launched While Introducing High-end Body Composition Analyzer, InBody970…Presenting New Services and Indicator

[의학신문·일간보사=김원준 기자] InBody(CEO Cha Ki-cheol), a brand with global credibility for its body composition analysis standard will launch its body water analysis brand, BWA(Body Water Analyzer) and unveil its high-end body composition analyzer, InBody970, during Korea’s largest medical device exposition, the Korea International Medical and Hospital Equipment Show 2019.

With this, the company aims to present new services and indicators by focusing on the fundamental technologies that it is most proud of, body composition and water analysis.

■ Experts tell with numbers

InBody’s technology of measuring body water is used in various areas that require expertise including dialysis, rehabilitation and nutrition. It also present a new indicator in the conventional diagnosis method that is prone to radiation exposure risks or relies on the senses.

InBody unveils its brand specializing in body water analysis, BWA to enable experts to provide sophisticated services to the patients by identifying their conditions using numbers and to provide regular management.

■ BWA2.0, new standard in body water analysis

BWA2.0 uses patented dual clamp poles to provide 16 touch screen monitor, twice the amount of conventional method The dual clamp structure with four electrodes act as an indicator that enables the device to identify the measurement location consistently, there by granting higher reproduction.

The 16 electrodes can be used as clinical indexes like assessing the state of edema using the differences of the impedance that is measured twice from the wrist and ankle.

InBody was the world’s first company to use eight frequencies ranging from 1KHz to superhigh frequency of 3MHz to enhance the accuracy rate in measurement of patients with a severe level of edema through Multi-reactance(5KHz, 50KHz, 250KHz), Multi-phase angle(5KHz, 50KHz, 250KHz) and phase angle by area.

Considering the conditions of various patients, users can input amputation information so that the device can be used to measure body water for patients with amputation. It can also easily calculate the target body weight for patients who need body water adjustment to grant users with convenience when monitoring and managing body water level.

Moreover, results of newly unveiled research is provided in the form of graphs for each area and thesis papers, so that researchers can look at the major items that they use the most in just a single glance. The research done on patients by age was conducted on 13 million InBody big data to enable users to identify the one’s current body water conditions in comparison to the same age group.

High-end body composition analyzer, InBody970 is a high-end product manufactured by InBody, global top player in the sector, and it has upgraded its quality by another step.
